Lee Ann Stehle
Creative & Administrative Assistant
Choreographer & Instructor

We are very excited to welcome back Mrs. Lee Ann for the 2016-2017 season!

Lee Ann began dancing at the age of four at Western Arkansas Ballet Company in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She studied under Melissa Schoenfeld for 10 years and was a junior company member. Lee Ann was a part of the cast of The Nutcracker, an annual production, as well as Peter and the Wolf, Coppelia, and other ballets. She was a founding member of a small Liturgical Dance Troupe that traveled locally to share the Gospel through dance.

Upon moving to Little Rock, Arkansas, Lee Ann danced at Ballet Arkansas for one year and found her home studio at McAfee Ballet under the instruction of Ms. Lorene Patterson. She danced many lead roles in the original classical story ballets such as Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, The Little Mermaid, The Emperor and The Nightingale, and others. At 18, Lee Ann began assisting with dance classes at the studio and would eventually teach her own classes. At 19, she opened a small dance program at a local Montessori school and was also on staff at Little Rock School of Dance.

In 2010, McAfee Ballet’s ownership changed and transitioned to Dancers’ Corner under Sandy Miller. Lee Ann took on the roles of a Lead Instructor, Administrative Assistant, and Choreographer. She taught various age groups from Toddler “Mommy and Me” classes through adults.

Lee Ann is a proud member of Southern Association of Dance Masters and is certified to teach Ballet. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, in which she emphasized Theater Dance. She stays current through continuing education, festivals, and conventions such as The Loraine Cranford Summer Dance Workshops, The Regional Dance America – Southwest conventions, and The Southern Association of Dance Masters conventions. Lee Ann has studied multiple disciplines in the field of dance including Ballet, Partnering, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Flamenco, and Hawaiian.
