Ballet, Tap & Creative Movement (Parent / Child class)

Dance with Me classes were started in 2010 and were our very first classes to be held in our space at Dancers' Corner. Mrs. Sandy started the classes with her 2 year old and a small group of friends. The program has grown tremendously since then and has now evolved into a more focused program helping students transition from parents assisting to students dancing independently. Boys and girls are welcome, as well as dads, grandparents or other caretakers!

Description: A class with adult assistance & involvement. Students are exposed to different styles of music, movement, fun dance games & props, and quality time with a parent, grandparent, guardian, or care-taker. Students are introduced to how to participate in a classroom environment, including taking turns and putting props away. Parents assist the children by guiding their movements, helping them stay on task, encouraging involvement, and easing them into independent involvement.

Classes are held throughout the year. Enrollment is open at all times, as long as there is room for more friends in the class. 

Dancer Attire: Students will wear our class uniforms. Females will wear the sparkle skirted leotard with pink or skin tone tights, and males will wear a solid color t-shirt with black shorts or joggers. All dancers will wear leather ballet shoes and tap shoes.

Parent Attire: Comfortable clothes which are cool & easy to move & stretch in with bare feet or dance shoes, socks are only allowed if they have rubber grippers on the bottom due to the danger of slipping.
